We're a TV post house, all we do is send client their videos and delete. I used Verio for 10 years, until one day I uploaded a video file for a client (which we did for 10 years) and they deleted my account with no notice. Seems there was a change in policy. No problem, I deleted Verio.
The Absolute Worst Internet Service Provider in the World
It is amazing that these guy remain in business. Their 24/7 support is anything but. When you call tech support you'll get a yahoo sitting in a call center somewhere doing nothing but reading a script. They are perfectly useless. Their answer to when an issue will be resolved is 24-48 hours as if that's a real answer. There is no feedback, no explanation as to the nature of the issue - nothing. You'll spend more time on hold then talking with someone. When you finally do talk to someone, they're telling you 24-48 hours. Simply amazing. I will be transferring my domain and moving my site at first opportunity (as soon as its up again-if ever). Verio is a poor excuse for an ISP and gives the whole business a black eye by their incompetence. These guys, they get a zero.
Used Verio 15 years, after they where bought and sold the 3 time the company is aweful. Bad customer service, erased data with no notification terrible.
Questionable business practices as well as lousy support
Our original hosting company, IXWEBHOSTING "sold" our accounts to Verio (without our permission) and moved our websites and emails. After the "move", all our emails went from unlimited accounts to 500mb (exceeding by 185% according to them... but they will sell us an upgrade to 2GB for $10 per email address if we want). And because we "exceed" limits... they shut them down. Took almost a week to get it fixed. Also, after the move, all our business websites crashed. That took 2 weeks to get them back up.
Their tech support, is lousy. Every issue takes 20-30 minutes then they say "we have to create a ticket for a higher up technician".... and that can take 24-48 hours. Allegedly they will inform you by email when whatever the issue is fixed... haven't gotten any emails from them, ever, for 6 tickets in 2 weeks.
We WILL be looking for a new permanent and BETTER hosting company... very very soon.
Worst hosting i ever seen. I'm stuck with same problem. Have been migrated from IXWEBHOSTING to Verio also and i have experienced too many serious problems.
Here are some of them:
1. Some emails don't work 2. Control panel doesn't work. Options are missing (TicketCenter, DB management, FTP, Account settings....) 3. We have this problem since migration 6-7 days ago and nothing is done.
And it seems problems will never stop and i will be stuck in support chat with following answers: - Sorry for providing the incorrect response in the previous email. I will be handing this case over to one of our senior technical specialist to migrate the missing mailboxes. You should be hearing from them within 24-48 hours. - We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. It appears like your hosting account is not setup properly in new platform. I have asked one of our senior Engineers who will be investigating further on the issue. I have also handed over all my findings to that specialist. You should be hearing update soon. ....
I completely agree, this sucks! I have business clients that have been down for weeks, lost emails, can't find my domains on there side. when my contract ends i'm moving, or maybe before as i may not have any clients left!
I have been a Verio customer for my email for many years. I decided in January to transfer my web hosting to them. On February 1 they put my domain on "client hold". I have not been able to access my email since, probably pissing off/losing many of my clients. I call Verio or do the online chat with their "support" team every day (from the UK - it's costing me a fortune), only to be told it will be shortly. I'm at my wits' end. Dreadful.
I had the domain transferred to me after purchasing a business. Now I receive notices to renew, but can't renew since I don't have the prior owners security question and credit card number. I sent information to Ownership @verio-inc.com to prove I now own the business and still no resolution and no one responded to me. It is a nasty circular issue with no help from Verio customer service. The worst. If there were no stars that is what Verio deserves. Stay away from Verio.
